A+ Alpaca Fiber Mill 6781 River Road, Jordan. NY 13080. Owned and operated by Chris & Mickey Gilman. We specialize in alpaca fiber as we have been raising alpacas beginning in 1996 as Riverside Alpacas. We are a custom fiber processing mill who will produce yarn, roving, and/or batts. We offer blending of fiber or colors to make beautiful variegated yarns. We offer the customer the choice to wash your fiber or pay a small fee for it to be washed by us. Please visit our website or send Chris an email with your questions to: web site: Contact persons are Carl or Bonnie Ahrens. Bonnie writes: We do all types of natural fibers up to 8 inches in length; especially the fine fibers. I raise merino sheep and angora rabbits and our equipment does a wonderful job of blending. We suggest a 20-30 per cent blend of angora to the merino. We have angora fiber you can purchase and add to your soft wool if you wish. On very coarse fibers, llama and alpaca we do recommend a 20 per cent blend.
